Nifty futures on the Singapore Stock Exchange traded 111 points or 0.69% higher at 16,133.50, signaling Dalal Street was heading for a positive start on Thursday. Extending the streak of losses for the third day in a row, India’s stock market benchmark Sensex closed down 303 points yesterday, led by heavy selling pressure on IT stocks. The 30 S&P BSE Sensex shares fell 303.35 points or 0.56% to 53,749.26 points against the previous day’s close at 54,052.61 points. The broader National Stock Exchange Nifty 50 fell 99.35 points or 0.62% to 16,025.80 points.

Apollo Hospitals Companies

The hospital chain said its consolidated profit after tax fell 46% to Rs 90 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2022. The healthcare provider had reported a PAT of Rs 168 crore during the quarter from January to March 2020- 21 fiscal.

Coal India

The state-owned coal miner recorded a 45.9% increase in its consolidated net profit to Rs 6,692.94 crore for the quarter ended March 2022 on the back of an increase in operating income. The consolidated net profit of the company was Rs 4,586.78 crore in the prior year period.

Fortis Health

The hospital chain recorded a 40% increase in its consolidated net profit to Rs 87.03 crore in the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2022. The company had posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 62.36 crore in the same quarter of the previous year.

National Aluminum Company

The state-run metal player announced a 9.5% rise in its consolidated profit to Rs 1,025.46 crore for the quarter ended March 2022 on the back of higher revenue. The company had reported a consolidated profit of Rs 935.74 crore in the prior year period.

Power finance company

The state-owned company recorded an almost 10% increase in its consolidated net profit to Rs 4,295.90 crore in the March quarter, mainly on the back of higher revenues. The consolidated net profit of the company was Rs 3,906.05 crore in the prior year period.

bata india

The cobbler reported a doubling in its consolidated net profit to Rs 62.96 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2022, helped by robust sales. The company had recorded a net profit of Rs 29.47 crore in the January to March quarter a year ago.

Max Health Institute

The medical and healthcare actor said its after-tax profit rose 58% to Rs 172 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 2022. The company had reported a net profit of Rs 109 crore for the quarter. from January to March of the 2020-21 financial year.

Tourbillon

The durable consumer goods maker reported a 35.04% drop in its consolidated net profit to Rs 84.48 crore for the fourth quarter ended March due to weak industry demand and rising raw material costs. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 130.06 crore in the March quarter last fiscal year.
